Additional boeing Questions:
When did the Boeing 747 make its first commercial flight?
When did the Boeing 747 make its first commercial flight?
Answer:January 21, 1970, a Pan-Am flight New York to London.
Is Boeing 737 a very dangerous airplane model?
I'm thinking of travelling to Texas by air. But I was told that the plane is boeing 737. I've heard that boeing 737 is the most dangerous plane in the states. But I'm not sure about it yet.
And it's 737-300
Answer:All U.S. manufactured large aircraft (12,500 and over) are built to Title 49 Part 25 standards. Part 25 are the standards that make aircraft safe to fly. These standards are pretty tough to meet and Boeing has meet them all and exceed many of them.
So to answer your questions yes the B-737 is a very safe aircraft like all Boeing aircraft with many fail safe features built in incase of failures. Boeing like many other companies have learned by flying thousands of hours. The early B-737-100 and –200 had a cold seam that failed and all of those aircraft are not operated in commercial routes and are out of service.
I have spent many hours working of the B-737 and flying in them. There safety record speaks for it self. It is the most popular aircraft in the world that is why Boeing is still producing them today.
You can check the accident rates on the FAA web site at http://www.gov a short search will give you all the information you need.
How much of the Boeing Tanker will be built out of this country?
A lot has been said about EADS being a foreign company and building an American aircraft but Boeing aircraft uses parts made in other countries. What percent? Made where?
Answer:No. A lot has been said about the USAF changing it's requirements right before the bids were due, to favor the EADS bid. That's a no-no.
The entire Boeing airframe will be made in the US. Very few parts come from elsewhere.
What percentage of the Boeing 767 is manufactured overseas?
The Boeing 767 aircraft is ASSEMBLED at their Everett, WA plant, however, many of the sub-sections and components are manufactured by foreign companies, including China, Japan, Italy, Britain, and France, among many others. Does anyone know the percentage of foreign manufacturing?
Answer:Not much, almost completely from the US and Canada. P&W makes some of the engines in Canada.
How far can a boeing 737 glide at 39,000 feet?
How far can a boeing 737 glide at 39,000 feet with both engines out?
I heard its around 35-39nm.
On fsx it can roughly glide 35nm, is this a roughly right?
corrected sentance: On fsx it can roughly glide 35nm, is this roughly right?
Speed: 190kts
Wind: 2kts mag: 275
Answer:lets assume best glide is a decent at 1500 ft/min - this should be close - so it will stay in the air for 26 minutes - 26 minutes at 190knts = 82 nm -
of course fpm will depend on load, distance isn't everything, there is also minimum sink rate, which will keep you in the air longer, but not go as far - useful for prep time, like circling over an airport.
if you feel like subtracting 1nm for the 2knt wind........kinda like a flea on a whale. there is a good story about a pilot who was a glider enthusiast dead-sticking into a closed airport in canada (fuel exhaustion) more people got hurt jumping out of the plane because nose wheel collapsed, and the slide at the back of the plane did not have enough angle to slow people down.
with a bit more work, i found between 18:1,and 20:1 - so more than 100nm. but you need to get the gear down etc, you also need to subtract the altitude of the airport from your altitude, since you only have AGL to glide....
ah 2knts is the ground wind speed, here is what you do if you sim it - pitch for 190, look at your decent rate in fpm, and altitude above ground (altitude - field elevation) this gives the time you can stay in the air - then look at ground speed on the gps - speed*time=distance.....then you don't need to worry about the winds aloft, and it is moot to care which runway.
How much would a Boeing BBJ rental cost per hour?
Can you rent a BBJ? (boeing business jet)
With a pilot?
How much would it cost per hour?

What kind of Boeing is it?
Answer:typcially large transport charter jets are priced per mile for passenger charter purposes.
I work for a large on demand cargo/passenger airline, and can tell you that it would be very expensive.
I just ran a quick quote for you and to San Juan PR on a Dc-9, that can hold approx 70 passengers. This is about the same size as a BBJ, +/- a few seats.. ( Jamica would be around the same time and price) looking at around 47,000.00. and about 7.5 hours. flight time. I went out of Kansas City being in the middle of the midwest. The time includes a stop in FLL to clear outbound customs and fuel.
What advantages does the Boeing 747-400 have over the A380?
Besides the fact that the Boeing 747 is not equipped with fly by wire. Some consider this an advantage, some consider this a disadvantage.
In what ways is the Boeing 747-400 better than the A380?
Answer:Although separation required is still high, the 747-400 produces less wake turbulence than the A380 and requires less separation between aircraft.
Airport compatibility-Due to the A380's larger size, less airports are capable of using the A380 compared to the 747,
Landing fees-Again since the A380 is a large aircraft landing fees at airports will be higher than with 747s.
Better aesthetics-okay strongly opinionated, but most people will agree the 747 looks better and more "classic"
Shorter boarding/deboarding time-This again stems from the fact that the 747 carries less passengers.
The acceleration of a Boeing 747 compared to a car?
The acceleration of cars is often measured by the time it takes to go from standstill to 60 miles an hour. What is the 0 to 60 time of a Boeing 747?
Answer:I believe it takes around 15 seconds or so, most cars will beat it hands down. But no too many cars can win on the 0-400 mph race
How do I become s boeing Pilot?
how do i become a boeing pilot? which college is the best for that career? whats their monthly payments?
Answer:Well you have to become a commercial pilot. Then you can fly Commercial Jets of any make, be it Boeing or Airbus.Well you need to complete your high school studies with Science as the main subject and then join an Aviation School. The charges are likely to be quite high considering the high cost of training etc,. but if you get into a Govt. recognised reputed institute I believe you will get an educational loan without any problem.
